Should not resign as a Director general as in his defence he had to send out news and give audience information of some sort, that the public was waiting for also he was only working for 54 days at the public broadcaster which covers his mistake as he was a new worker in the broadcast sector/
He should be given a chance or be removed as director manager post and drop down. As he was only doing his job and what a news reporter/ public broadcasters does. However, because of the wide spread of rumours and the case that he has put such a high brand BBC down there should be another director general at his post and he should be removed because of the mistake he’s made as a director general has huge politically responsibility. He can survive it but I think he's made it very difficult for himself. Also towards the end their will be a change of director general in order to not make the same mistake as now

Twitter and
tweets should not be closed as important updates which are made cross over to
young teenagers and adults who use twitter as well as a way of giving their
opinion to what they think. However, the tweeters that tweeted information
similar to George Entwistle’s should be at least are receiving a warning of or
some type of punishment.
News
night should not be shut down because it has been successful over the upcoming
years which has informed and educated as well as entertained public with its
up-coming news for one mistake it shouldn't be shut down, however, they should
be receiving a tagged fine
